I actually got into Real Estate because I like putting people together - it's kinda like being a matchmaker. Let me tell you a quick story to demonstrate. Last year I had a buyer looking for a log home. Not too easy to find. So, I looked up Expired listings in the MLS and cross checked them to see that the properties had not sold anyway. I identified 4 potential homes and sent letters to the current owners asking them if they still have an interest in selling. I explained about my buyers. Only 1 called me and we went to see the house. It didn't work for my buyers and the gentleman had no interest in listing with me because his uncle is a Realtor.
Now, I have a log home listing. I took a call from my newsletter from someone who wanted to see it. The home didn't work for them, it was too large, out of their price range and not on enough land, but since the home is vacant, they asked to see it. After speaking with them, I was reminded of that log home from last year. So, I sent another letter to the owner and he called me. I took the buyers out to the home.
It truly is a magical moment when you actually watch someone fall in love - when you can physically see it happen. And these people did. So, we wrote the deal and the buyers are getting exactly what they wanted at a price they could afford. And the seller is happy because he sold his home without having to even list it again! And I, well, I got to be part of something magical!
That's why I love my job!!!
